Dynamic greenspace exposure and residents’ mental health in Guangzhou, China: From over-head to eye-level perspective, from quantity to quality

Natural environments especially greenspace may play an important role in enhancing people’s mental health. However, the existing literature mainly assesses exposure residential neighbourhood ignoring dynamic nature of daily movements and histories. Also, most research from ‘over-head’ perspective whereas ‘eye-level’ better capture experiences greenspace, including its quality. We examine importance capturing eye-level across different places people occupy their everyday lives. construct four measures overhead (NDVI), quantity quality (Street View Greenness (SVG)) self-reported greenness exposure.
